dc.description.abstractA síndrome da apneia-hipopneia obstrutiva do sono (SAHOS) é uma doença grave e insidiosa, caracterizada por uma parada ou diminuição do fluxo de ar na respiração, causada por uma obstrução da via aérea. Esta leva a uma asfixia progressiva seguida de um breve despertar e ronco, interferindo na boa dinâmica do sono e pode levar a sequelas que diminuem a saúde e qualidade de vida do portador. O tratamento com aparelhos de pressão positiva contínua (CPAP) é altamente eficaz, diminui instantaneamente os eventos obstrutivos. A telemonitorização aplicada ao CPAP é uma tecnologia recente que visa a melhor adesão do paciente ao tratamento, sendo otimizada pelo suporte detalhado e educação, e melhora da dinâmica do acompanhamento pelo fisioterapeuta, obtendo informações detalhadas cotidianamente sobre as condições do equipamento e paciente durante o uso, como o tempo de utilização, fuga da máscara, índice de apneia e hipopneia (IAH) entre outros. A telemonitorização adapta o atendimento profissional do paciente com SAHOS ao avanço tecnológico e estilo de vida da população atual, e isso está trazendo facilidades, benefícios e maior eficácia no tratamento com CPAP. Esse trabalho se destinou a explicar, por meio de uma revisão sistemática de literatura, o que se encontra de mais recente em informações sobre a utilização da telemonitorização aplicada ao CPAP em pacientes com a síndrome da apneia e hipopneia obstrutiva do sono, além dos benefícios relacionados a aplicação assim como o papel do trabalho do fisioterapeuta frente a essa nova tecnologia.en_US
dc.description.resumoObstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) is a severe and insidious disease characterized by a halting or decreased airflow in respiration caused by an obstruction of the airway leading to progressive asphyxia followed by a brief awakening and snoring, interfering with the good sleep dynamics and may lead to persistent cardiological, neurocognitive and metabolic sequelae that diminish the health and quality of life of the patient. Treatment with continuous positive airway pressure devices (CPAP) is highly effective, instantly reducing obstructive events. Telemonitoring applied to CPAP is a recent technology that aims at better adherence of the patient to the treatment, being optimized by the detailed support and education, and improvement of the monitoring dynamics by the physiotherapist, obtaining detailed day-to-day information on the conditions of the equipment and patient during use, such as time of use, mask leakage, apnea and hypopnea index (AHI), among others. Telemonitoring adapts the professional care of the patient with OSAHS to the technological advancement and lifestyle of the current population, and this is bringing benefits and greater effectiveness in the treatment with CPAPThis work aimed to explain, through a systematic literature review, the most recent information on the use of telemonitoring applied to CPAP in patients with obstructive sleep apnea and hypopnea syndrome, and benefits related to the application as well as the role of the physiotherapist's work in the face of this new technology.EN
