| dc.description.abstract | O bruxismo é um hábito bucal parafuncional caracterizado pelo ato de ranger ou apertar os dentes, podendo estar ligado a um hábito ou tique, inconsciente, realizado durante o dia ou a noite durante o sono. Também pode ser classificado por bruxismo cêntrico e bruxismo excêntrico, não tendo prevalência por sexo e nem idade. Sua etiologia é multifatorial, podendo envolver fatores locais, sistêmicos, ocupacionais, hereditários e psicológicos. Os danos causados por esses hábitos não funcionais abrangem problemas de diferentes níveis do sistema estomatognático, e é considerado o hábito parafuncional mais danoso ao mesmo. Como forma de tratamento também exige uma equipe multidisciplinar envolvendo dentistas, médicos e psicólogos. O trabalho tem por objetivo identificar os principais fatores etiológicos, danos causados, e os possíveis tratamento dessa parafunção, por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica. | en_US |
| dc.description.resumo | The bruxism is a buccal parafunctional habit that is characterized by the act of creaking or squeezing the teeth, which can be related to a habit or praxis unconsciously performed during the day or even at night, when asleep. It can also be classified as central and eccentric, not having a prevalence related to gender or age. Its etiology is multifactorial, involving local, systemic, employment and hereditary factors. The damage caused by these non-functional habits cover different level problems, of the stomatognathic system, and it is considered the most damaging parafunctional habit. When it comes to treatment it also requires a multidisciplinary team including dentists, doctors and psychologists. The objective of this study is to identify the main etiological factors, damages caused, and the possible treatment for this parafunction, through a bibliographic review. | En |
